Green Energy

Green energy options are environmentally-friendly. This means that they are non-polluting and do not encourage a depletion of the natural resources of our planet. Examples of such energy options include geothermal, hydro, wind, and solar power.

Anaerobic digestion is another example of green energy. Some people consider nuclear power to fall under this category. However, plenty of people disagree. This is because there are many additional environmental issues surrounding nuclear waste and its disposal. Also, there is debate around how effective it is when it comes to reduction certain harmful emissions.

Green energy use can fall under many contexts. These include mechanical power, the generation of electricity, and in the supply of heating needs. Some options may operate off-grid for small applications. However, larger scale uses are more common. It is good to note that consumers and organizations may purchase such energy. This increases room for development in these areas.
