Environmental Issues

Environmental issues are basically viewed as the negative effects which human activity has on the environment. There are many different issues which fall under this. These include the conservation and protection of species and natural areas.

This site is primarily concerned with environmental issues related to climate change, pollution, and the depletion of the planet's natural resources. Today, we are seeing the many effects of how we have lived over the past couple centuries come to light. For instance, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has concluded that human activity is responsible for the global warming that has been experienced since the middle of the 20th century.

The actions which have caused this include deforestation and the burning of fossil fuels. These have encouraged an excess of greenhouse gases within the atmosphere, leading to current climate change scenarios. As we gain a better understanding of environmental issues, we are better prepared to alter our actions for a healthier and happier future.
