Materials

All of the materials we use are free of VOCs and other harmful chemicals typically found in regular latex paints.

Interior Painting

For regular interior painting we use a combination of the following paints determined by the project's base/surface conditions, use and location, as well as by the client's budget, health requirements and personal preferences (including color):

• Natural clay paints (with natural pigments)

• Natural milk/casein paints (with natural pigments)

• Natural soy resin paints (with natural pigments)

• Natural pine resin paints (with natural pigments)

• Natural aqua resin enamels

• Solvent- and VOC-free wall paints

• VOC-free latex paints

Most of our textures and Faux Finishes consist of natural clays, milk paints and natural glazes:

Natural Clay

Based on the desired texture, color and finish, we choose a range of all natural clays (paints and/or plasters). They are up to 100% natural and free of all harmful chemicals. Clays help create a warm ambiance and constitute a functional wall treatment that interacts well with your environment (i.e. expands and contracts with changes in temperatures and absorbs excess humidity and odors).

For added shine, protection and durability we can treat Clays with 100% natural Stucco Soap (Water and Organic Soap from Sunflower Oil) or Carnuba Wax (Water, Cocoa-based soap, Carnuba Wax and Alcohol Ester).

Properties: Composition of natural products and minerals, low-odor, atmospheric, durable (20-30 years).

Ingredients: Water, Clay, Porcelain and/or Marble Clay, chalk, Phosphate, Alcohol Ester (binder), cellulose, preservatives, sand, mineral or plant based Pigments and Titanium Ddioxide.

Eco Painting

Milk Paint

Milk paints are all-natural products rich in color. They are 100% natural, free of all harmful chemicals and are extremely low-odor during application. The color pigments consist of fine powders extracted from earth, rocks and minerals. They are extremely durable - some of the colors on King Tut's tomb in Egypt and the wall paintings in the Lascaux caverns in France are real mil paints - i.e. thousands of years old!

Properties: All-natural composition, low-odor, zero-VOC, natural colors and very, very durable.

Ingredients: Casein milk solids, lime clay, cellulose, asbestos-free talcum, sodium phosphate (salt), and pigments (earth, rock, and/or minerals).

Eco Painting

Natural Glaze

Natural Glaze is an all-natural, highly versatile, durable and transparent waterborne concentrate. We use it as a Faux Finish when tinted with all-natural pigments.

Properties: All-natural composition, low-odor, natural colors, atmospheric, durable, washable.

Ingredients: Cellulose, alcohol ester, silica, carnuba wax, clay, natural pigments, water, and preservatives.
